UX Audits + Digital Product Consulting

I make complex digital experiences easier to use.

I provide senior-level UX audits and digital product consulting for software companies, agencies, and digital businesses that need an experienced, independent perspective on where their product experience is breaking down — and what to improve.

The goal

Find the friction, understand why it matters, and give your product and development teams clear direction on what to improve.

UX Audits

Your product can work technically and still be hard to use.

A UX audit gives you an independent, senior-level evaluation of the experience you already have — without committing to a full redesign.

I work through the selected user journeys as a customer would, looking for confusion, unnecessary effort, unclear navigation, inconsistent interaction patterns, weak system feedback, trust issues, and other friction that can make a product harder to understand or use.

You receive prioritized, actionable recommendations your product and development teams can use to improve the existing experience.

What you receive

Findings your team can actually use.

I don't simply tell you that something could be better. Significant findings connect what is happening today to why it creates a problem and what should happen instead.

01

Current Experience

What the user encounters today.

02

UX Problem

Where clarity, usability, or trust breaks down.

03

User Impact

Why the issue matters to the person using the product.

04

Recommendation

What the experience should do instead.

05

Priority

What your team should address first.

What I look at

The experience, not just the screen.

The most important UX problems often live between screens, decisions, systems, and teams.

User journeys

Whether users can move through important tasks clearly and efficiently.

Navigation

Whether people understand where they are, where to go, and what to do next.

Information hierarchy

Whether the right information and actions receive the right emphasis.

Interaction patterns

Whether controls and behaviors remain clear and consistent across the product.

System feedback

Whether users understand what happened, what changed, and what happens next.

Forms + workflows

Where unnecessary effort, decisions, or sequencing may create friction.

Error + edge states

How the experience handles errors, restrictions, empty states, and uncertainty.

Cross-product consistency

Where terminology, patterns, and behaviors become inconsistent or confusing.

Experience

Senior product thinking grounded in real software experience.

I spent 20 years in software development as a User Experience Designer and Manager, working closely with product, development, and business teams to turn complex requirements into clear customer experiences.

My work has included feature development within a proprietary learning management system, user research and testing, workflow design, product requirements, documentation, and collaboration across technical teams.

I also run digital businesses of my own today. That means I understand the product problem, but I also understand being the person paying for the solution, supporting the customer, managing the systems, and needing the entire experience to work.

Beyond the audit

Need focused product or UX support?

UX audits are my primary consulting service, but I also take on selected, clearly defined digital product engagements.

Product & UX Strategy

Customer journeys, workflow analysis, information architecture, usability recommendations, and product requirements.

Customer Experience

Onboarding, support experiences, documentation, process improvement, and product/support alignment.

Learning Platforms

LMS workflows, course platforms, memberships, platform migrations, access flows, and complex learning ecosystems.

What I bring

I work comfortably across the gaps.

UX + Technology

I understand the customer experience without losing sight of technical systems, constraints, and implementation realities.

Strategy + Execution

I can identify the larger problem and still get into workflows, requirements, documentation, and implementation details.

Product + Business

I evaluate recommendations through both a customer-experience and practical business lens.

Independent Perspective

I can step outside the assumptions that naturally build up inside a product team and evaluate the experience as a user encounters it.

Good reasons to bring me in

Your team knows something isn't working.

01

Our product works, but customers struggle to understand the workflow.

02

Users are signing up, but they aren't reaching the product's first meaningful value.

03

Our navigation and terminology have become inconsistent as the product has grown.

04

We need an independent UX perspective before approving or expanding the product.

05

We know the experience has become too complicated, but we can't see exactly where the friction is.

06

Our product, onboarding, support, and documentation feel like separate experiences.

Have a product that's harder to use than it should be?

Let's find out where the experience is breaking down.

Tell me a little about your product, the users you serve, and the workflows you want evaluated. I'll recommend the right scope for the audit.
